Silk Oh Coco - Ruffled Blouse Top

I’ve been searching for a shirt like this in silk for years so was surprised to suddenly come across it in the house of Empress Mimi. Clothing often comes different than imaged and fits differently on diverse body shapes so I was hoping the sleeves to be every bit as long and drapey over the knuckles with gaps between the ties along the box plate as they are on the model. I have not been disappointed and am more than content it arrived as promised. The cut and drape are as flattering as they are empowering, and the matte–satin stripework of the body with its spaghetti-lace ties feminise an otherwise romantically masculine garment. The whiteness of the shirt is both elegant and smart with ruffles that afford it a hint of 18th century whimsy. It belongs to another century.
